Embark Studio is a design partnership built for brands that refuse to settle. Founded by James Rhodes — a senior designer who spent a decade shaping how some of the world's biggest brands show up online.
I spent years as an Art Director at Adidas — leading design across global campaigns, building systems that scaled across markets, and learning what it means to hold a standard at the highest level.
I then moved to be director of e-commerce and digital marketing for Roots. Built. Learned. But I kept seeing the same problem everywhere — brands with real ambition trapped inside digital experiences that didn't match. Misaligned websites. Disconnected identities. Design that was "good enough" but never great.
So I built Embark.
The idea was simple: give growing brands access to the same caliber of design leadership that only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Senior thinking. Premium craft. AI-accelerated speed. No junior hand-offs. No bloated agency overhead.
That idea became a studio. The studio became a system. The system became Oryn — an AI-powered platform that learns your brand and never forgets it.
Today, Embark works with funded startups and scaling brands as an embedded design partner. We've built for Adidas, Nike, Kawasaki, Ducati, OpenReel, and Tecton. Every project is led by me personally. Every pixel is placed with intention.
